Hannah & Jo’s Elegant & Traditional New Orleans Louisiana Style Wedding

Hannah and Jo started of their days by getting ready with their wedding parties. I loved the getting ready rooms at Prud’homme-Rouquier House, the little details and architecture was perfect and really added to Hannah’s getting ready photos. I shot this wedding on both a mix of digital and film with my Kodak Portra 800. Jo and Hannah had their ceremony at a beautiful church, and then headed back to Prud’homme-Rouquier House for the reception.

One thing I especially loved about Hannah and Jo’s New Orleans Louisiana style wedding was the southern cooking and Cajun dinner! Rather than having a plated dinner, guests visited stations and never really sat down, which is typically of a Louisiana style wedding. It made the reception even more fun and lively, and of course the food was delicious. After dinner things weren’t any less fun. Hannah and Jo had the best time partying it up with their closest friends and family. There’s just something about a NOLA wedding that’s different, and I loved every minute of capturing this beautiful day.

ANd of course, In Louisiana style wedding fashion, Hannah and Jo left the wedding with a brass band to follow and towel waving. It was the perfect way to end their New Orleans Louisiana style wedding!
